Attended from 1975 to 1980
- After leaving school he began a Degree in Human Resources Traineeship at BHP but ended up leaving within the year to start work at WIN Television. Here he worked as a sound engineer in TV, in the music studio, in radio and live broadcasts. He also worked for other various employers but he always maintained his contacts with WIN television.
- During this time he also achieved success as a singer and musician in several exciting local bands for at least a decade, although, that very first school band with Tom Denniss was hard to beat.
- He eventually moved from sound to pictures to become a studio director. But perhaps he is best remembered when he moved out in front of the camera as the presenter of a national and international outdoors – fishing – boating program made by Channel 9 and Beyond Pictures. He hosted this program for nearly five years.
- However, he realised that his passion was for directing and producing and so he followed this path. He worked as a producer – director for Qantas, filming exotic locations around the world for over five years. It was during this time that he travelled the world, working with and meeting many talented, interesting and famous people.
- Following this he took up freelance work for Channel 10 and SBS. He also wrote theme music and incidental music scores for several TV productions as well as various advertising jingles.
- He eventually returned to WIN TV in 2004 as Creative Director for the entire network, that is, all of the Australian states with a potential viewing audience of 8.6 million viewers.
- He was then promoted to Creative Manager as the network grew to also include Channel 9 in Perth and Adelaide. This makes him responsible for the creative output of the WIN network Australia wide.
- Paul is also a Fellow of the University of Wollongong and is part of an establishing committee for the new Bachelor of Digital Arts Degree at the university. He is also a guest teacher for the TAFE Digital Media course.
- Paul's great ambition is to make Wollongong one of this country's TV strongholds through the growth of WIN Television and its group of companies.
- Finally, it's important to note that Paul's wife Vanessa also attended the Lake and that both of their daughters, Emily and Ruby, were students at this school.
